This Domain Registration Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions between GreatHost (“Company”, “Registrar/Reseller”, “we”, “our”, “us”) and the individual or entity (“Registrant”, “you”, “your”) who registers, renews, or manages a domain name through our services. By registering a domain with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement
Registrant must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information at the time of registration.
Information includes name, address, phone number, and email.
Providing false or misleading details may lead to suspension or cancellation of the domain.
Registrant is responsible for keeping WHOIS details updated.
Domain Registration, Refund & Cancellation
Domain names are registered on a first-come, first-served basis
Refund Policy
If a domain fails to register (payment successful but domain not allocated by the registrar), the registrant is entitled to a full refund upon request.
Once a domain is successfully registered, no refund is possible
Payments must be completed in full before registration
Renewal & Expiry
Renewal responsibility lies with the registrant
GreatHost may send renewal reminders (30, 15, 7 days before expiry) but delivery of reminders is not guaranteed
Expired domains may enter a grace period or redemption period, during which restoration fees may apply (as per registry rules)
Domain Usage Policy
Use of domain names is subject to our Terms & Conditions, specifically
Any misuse (illegal activity, spam, phishing, malware, abuse, or violation of Terms & Conditions) may result in suspension or termination without refund
Transfers
Domains can be transferred subject to ICANN and registry policies
Transfers may be restricted within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer
Transfer may be denied in case of disputes, unpaid fees, or legal orders
WHOIS & Privacy Protection
Registrant details (name, address, email, phone) are submitted to the registry/ICANN and may appear in the public WHOIS database
GreatHost provides WHOIS Privacy/Protection services where available.
WHOIS protection is an optional paid add-on and may not be available for certain extensions (e.g., .IN)
GreatHost clearly displays on its domain page which TLDs include or exclude WHOIS protection
Dispute Resolution
Domain disputes (ownership, trademark, etc.) will be governed by ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).
GreatHost is not responsible for resolving such disputes; registrants must follow UDRP or registry processes.
Limitation of Liability
GreatHost’s liability for any claim related to domain registration, renewal, transfer, expiry, or misuse is strictly limited to the total fees paid for that domain
GreatHost shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including business loss, profit loss, or data loss
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India
Amendments
GreatHost reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time
Updated policies will be published on our website
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
Acknowledgement
By registering a domain name with GreatHost, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement, along with ICANN, registry, and applicable laws
